I am starting off 2017 with marking items in the monthly layout pages in my Erin Condren planner. I wanted to share with you what I denote per month to give you some ideas.
- Days off
- Appointments (or reminders to set them) – doctors, hair stylist, etc
- Goals per month, around 2 or 3 goals that I wish to accomplish.
- For January, a couple of them are organizing/cleaning out projects for our spare bedroom and the closet.
- The third goal is something fun for me to do. I never want my goals to only be about organizing and cleaning the house. I selected photography since I want to take pictures on walks and find a better way to take pictures for my blog. I do not write out goals for all 12 months at this time. So far I just marked January and February. Then in the weekly layout views, I select some days when I will have more free time and set time aside to work on my goals. On those days I put on some music and set a timer for 30 minutes and start chipping away at my project. ( http://www.strongplanner.com/30-minute-rule/ )
If you do use a planner or want to try it out, know that there is no right or wrong way to use it. These are just ideas that I am sharing.
For reference here is my previous post on my weekly layout to give you some ideas. As my life changes, I do use my planner differently now so I will provide an update on the weekly review as well. = http://www.strongplanner.com/my-weekly-planner-layout/
Also another previous blog post on why I use a paper planner. If you are interested in trying one, this is the perfect time to take advantage of sales on planners. = http://www.strongplanner.com/why-a-paper-planner-and-not-just-digital/
